Employers offer time off for vacations
and holidays. In many cases if a person gets sick or is injured
off work, they will not generate an income if they do not have enough
accrued benefit. The answer is either short term or long term disability
coverage that can protect up to 66% of a person's income. Short
term care can generally cover first day benefit for accidents
and one to two weeks for sickness. Long term disability
benefits usually kick in after 90 days and can last two years, five
years or to age sixty-five.
